Malabrigo - Silkpaca

Wearing an item made of Silkpaca is like wearing a cloud! This yarn is 70% baby alpaca and 30% silk, which makes it 100% luscious. Soft, silky, with just a bit of a halo. Despite being our thinnest yarn, it is plied and sturdy- perfect for lace projects and very special objects that are sure to become precious heirlooms.

Great for: Lace, shawls, scarves, diaphanous garments

When Malabrigo dyes their yarns, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, specially on variegated yarns. After their quality control team checks the skeins, they go to the labeling section and then are put in bags of five or ten (depending on the yarn). Once the bags get to yarn stores, most skeins go to different shelves where they can get mixed.

The colors shown on photos are illustrated as reference, as mentioned above, they can differ on more or less of one tone, due to the hand-dyed process.
