Blackberry Ridge yarns are woolen spun. Woolen-spun yarns are special for many reasons. Their unique carding and spinning process leave the fibers jumbled as opposed to straight. This process imparts tiny air pockets in the yarn making them uncannily warm. This also makes for a very airy, squishy, springy feel. Look to Blackberry Ridge for your lightweight projects where warmth is paramount.

They use a blend of white Merino from a farm in South Dakota, and USA-grown brown Corriedale for the darker colors. 

• Kaleidoscope yarns are hand painted in small batches in their Mt. Horeb, WI mill! These yarns may vary from skein to skein, and will vary from batch to batch.
• Natural yarns are undyed.
• Solid Color Yarns are dyed with one consistent color throughout.
